Americans for Peace
On Nov. 11, 2013, Americans for Peace and Veterans for Peace bonded to celebrate Armistice Day.
With very little notice, members from 7 local churches joined us on a march from Long Memorial Methodist to Roxboro Baptist in Roxboro, NC.
We carried flags that emphasized our mission. Rev. Renee Burnett gave a short message for peace at Merritt Commons that she ended with a prayer.
America seems to worship and follow in the footsteps of great nations that lost sight of important values. As a consequence, they bit the dust.
The great Roman Military could demand any citizen to carry a soldier's luggage for a mile.
Our out of control military is overloading our VA hospitals with mutilated bodies and troubled minds with no answers.
Our youth have inherited a national debt that cannot be repaid in their lifetime or their grandchildren's lifetime.
On Nov. 11th, let's join hands in peace that will show appreciation for our Creator's magnificent gift. We will start at 10:30 at Long Memorial for the short walk to Roxboro Baptist.
The church bells at both churches will ring eleven times at 11:00am.
If you are unable to join us, stop at 11:00 for peaceful thoughts and ring your church bells.
